According to the NT news (May 23) young Australians (age 15-24) and kids (younger than 10 years) are dominating flu cases with more than 7000 notifications in just two weeks. Young Australians are emerging as the most at risk group as the whole country sees an early start to the flu season. Using your inhalers correctly (with a spacer) will help close the gap in asthma care by improving lung function, reducing asthma flare-ups, improving the effectiveness of medication allowing it to get to the lungs which can reduce oral side effects, stopping medication getting into the mouth, throat and stomach. No improvement can be expected if the medication is not going where it needs to π LUNGS. For these reasons, if your PUFFER PUFFS, put a spacer on it.
