Asthma, Anaphylaxis and Emergency Management

Asthma, Allergy & Anaphylaxis Management in NT Schools is designed to teach all school staff to identify asthma, allergies and anaphylaxis. The program is aimed to increase a school staffs confidence & knowledge in supporting students with asthma, allergy &/or anaphylaxis and to provide a safe environment for those students with asthma in NT schools.

  • Treatment of mild/moderate & life threatening asthma
  • Treatment of mild to moderate allergic reactions
  • Emergency treatment for anaphylaxis
  • Knowledge on how to use a puffer & spacer
  • Knowledge of how to use a adrenaline auto-injector
  • Knowledge of an Asthma Action Plan
  • Knowledge of an ASCIA Action Plan
  • Asthma, Allergy & Anaphylaxis Policies and Guidelines in accordance to the NT Department of Education
  • Duty of Care

All school staff are recommended to attend the program.
