Vale Trish Crossin

Vale Trish Crossin

Trish was a champion for the Territory and was a strong advocate for causes ranging from women’s and Aboriginal rights through to protection of the Environment and Education reforms. From her own personal health struggles however, she had a particular passion for the Foundation and the plight of people affected by asthma and related respiratory conditions.

Trish served as a Director on the Board of AFNT for 17 years until 2024, and she was awarded Life Membership in 2018. Trish helped bring more contemporary workplace practices and settings to the Foundation. She was a fierce defender of the Foundation and its ambitions, having experienced first-hand the quality of the services provided and being able to compare them more than favourably with what she experienced when living interstate. Trish was also instrumental in lobbying her Federal networks for greater support a few years back when the independence and viability of the Foundation was under threat.

Trish has left fond memories from her twenty year association with AFNT and she will long be remembered by many. We are fortunate to have been gifted with her insights and skills, her caring and compassionate outlook, her straight shooting style and her tireless interest and concern.

Thank you for making a difference Trish.
